Ever since JVC brought the first prosumer HD camera, the GR-HD1, to market, serious videographers have been waiting for someone to grant them a hi-def option with three chips and a feature set they could sink their teeth into. Sony has finally obliged them with the innovatively designed HDR-FX1, which captures 1080i MPEG-2 video following the HDV standard and offers a broad palette of image controls.
